WORKSHOP #13 - Saturday, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
LYNN HIMMELMANN, B.Sc., B. Mus., Certified Laughter Yoga Leader
Passion Expressed as Laughter |
“Passion burns down every
branch of exhaustion
Passion is the supreme elixir and
renews all things
Let divine passion triumph and
rebirth you in your self." - Rumi
In Rumi's poem above,
substitute the word 'passion'
with 'laughter' and, voila!, you
have a perfect description of what laughter can do for you!
In this workshop you will discover simple ways of letting
go into peels of light-hearted laughter that will melt away
your stress and set you free to laugh 'no matter what'. This
is a physically oriented workshop which uses a perfect
blend of playful, empowering, and "tension-releasing" laughter exercises, interspersed with gentle breathing and
stretching exercises. Bring a yoga mat or towel, and
drinking water.
Lynn Himmelmann, Wellness Coach, Performing Artist,
Singer, Musician, & Teacher brings with her more than 30
years of self-exploration and formal study in modalities
which promote a healthy body, mind, & spirit.

WORKSHOP #14 - Saturday, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
DEANNA HALLET
Find your Passion through The Art of Bellydance
|
|
I have been embraced by the
passion of belly dance ever
since seeing my first belly dancer
“live” many years ago and have
seen what that passion has done
for so many women. Belly dance
brings so much joy, love and
passion, creates friendships,
builds self-esteem, and self-image, and is a wonderful way to
exercise the mind, body and soul... all of this while getting
in fit! Come; join me on that journey of passionate joy,
confidence and femininity. I am inspired by this exercise
and art form and how it celebrates women's bodies of all
sizes and every stage of life. It teaches us to love and accept ourselves without making any changes.
Belly
Dance is one of the oldest art forms and healing
modalities. It is where spirituality and femininity
converge, bringing out the Goddess that is within all
women.
Deanna Hallett taught fitness, aerobic dance and belly
dance at the Windsor and Essex County Y and St. Clair
College until a car accident in 1987 sidelined her passion.
It was a long time before she was able to dance again, but
she celebrated her 60th birthday by belly dancing in
costume with her good friend and fellow Total Recall
presenter, Madeline Crnec. At Total Recall II Deanna
received the inspiration to resume teaching and
performing. She hopes her class will inspire others. She teaches at Nancy Pattison Dance World, Windsor.

CHRISTINE AIKEN
The Passion of Personal Meditative Work in a Labyrinth
|
|
We are all on a journey, enfolded
in the energy of the universe.
Part of that journey requires
thoughtful and contemplative
time with oneself and sometimes
with others on their journey
through life. The Labyrinth is
one of many tools which can be
used to walk that path. We move
into the Labyrinth with intention
to receive the gifts, ideas, thoughts and intuitive messages
which are there for us at this time. Walk through the
twists and turns on the path which takes you from the
beginning to the centre of your journey; receive what is
there waiting for you; and walk in meditative thanks and
joy continuing to listen for your guides, back to the
outside and daily life.
Walk as many times as you wish
over the weekend at Total Recall 8.The Labyrinth will remain until Sunday Lunch.
Christine Aiken - Founding mother presenter and
participant at Total Recall, since its conception seven
years ago. Meeting Mary Lou, I felt pulled to participate
in this initiative. Christine, once a banker, then a mother
and wife, chose school bus driving as a way to remain
home with her boys. Fifteen years ago from, listening to
intuition, impulse and inner prompting, and a very strong
need, Christine was called to move into her current
passion and career of Canadian Fossil Art under the name
Stones of Time, Christine now works full time as an Artist
and Writer selling her work, which speaks of life, nature,
connection and personal searching, across Canada and
worldwide.
Christine feels strongly in the energy of our universe,
which when we listen to our inner impulses and guides,
leads us along the path which is ours. Join Christine in the
Labyrinth to search for and find your path, and what is open for you!!!
